Wedding turbans
Jodhpuri turban
or Rajasthani safa, are known for their beauty and elegance.These turbans are called by varieties of names, like
multi-colored panchrangi turban which comes in color combinations of
saffron, white, pink, red and yellow on chunri cloth and then
jari turbans which are made by the cloth of jari and silk. Jari
turban generally worn on formal occasions of marriage along with Sherwani
or Jodhpuri suits with heavy beautiful embroidery patterns on them as shown in adjacent pictures.
Plain Pink, Red and green patterns worn for
marriage events. Tying the turban is an art in itself and Rajasthani's
takes great pride in perfecting this art. Pagribands are the
specialists who master the art of turban-tying in Jodhpur. Other
turbans are leheria turbans('leheria' in Hindi literally
means waves) which are brightly colored striped
turbans.
