Nehru jacket was originated from jodhpur as it was invented by Sir Pratap (His highness Jodhpur Takht singhji's third son ) and his tailors in form of Jodhpuri coat or Jodhpuri jacket. But later on it was named after Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India who popularized it. The jacket which Mr Nehru worn was not hip length but was knee length. But it was accepted by the world as a hip-length jacket with a stand up collar and without lapels just like a Jodhpuri coat/Jacket as invented by Sir Pratap who was famous polo player of his time. Soon after making its debut on the pages of "Vogue" magazine, the Nehru jacket found its way to a wide variety of personalities including the Beatles, Johnny Carson, Sammy Davis Jr., and the Beach Boys' Mike Love.

Nehru Jacket is being made in various fabric .For summers we are using pure linen and for winters we are using pure wool and terry wool. For fabric selection you can browse through the choices
